I am so over the daily discrimination bullshit I'm facing with this upcoming election all in the name of taking stands to win votes from uneducated baffoons. I'm attacked for being a woman, for being gay... Hell, now I'm even attacked for being a reincarnate (thanks for that list, really, assholes). I'm just done with it. Start treating us like human beings, dammit! It's not that hard of a concept.

I got a phone call from my mother today, the first one in a long time, and all because she saw the list and finally decided to comb it for my name. When she saw who I had she came to the conclusion that my relationship 'choices' were clearly from the devil's influence over my witch reincarnate. I kid you not. I really believe this woman should consider getting herself committed. She successfully reminded me in two minutes why I never talk to her.

Also, I'm aware Practical Magic has a strange cult following, but do people really have to constantly show me beetles? Even if you're a fan, Sally was never a fan of deathwatch beetles. Ever. Get a clue.

Being a witch is fantastic. There's something to be said when you've captured the art of spell casting. Learning new things, creating something out of nothing? It's all very exciting. I'll never fully understand why Sally gave it up. It's the perfect coping mechanism for the broken heart that plagued her.

That being said... It is really awkward to have a mother in your head. She likes to scold me like her child over my magic use. It's like never being able to escape your parents.

I think the top rule for avoiding people is to not answer their phone calls when they call you. Apparently I'm not the most crafty at stealth, which isn't very surprising I guess, especially if you've seen my source. Sally attempting to speak to law enforcement anyone? Still, I'm not 100% sure how she got my phone number--I can only guess that she was snooping through my brother's phone, as she likes to do that--but I had a wonderfully awkward talk with my mother today.

If anybody's wondering, I'm not leaving the Cirque to return home for a family reunion any time soon.

Now that that's out of the way, if anybody knows of a place I could get books for cheap, that would be fantastic. Money's tight these days, and I'm running out of reading material. And there doesn't seem to be a spell in this book for a money tree.
